Mentors & Judges
Student teams will be working on projects of their own design all weekend long. They can really use your help along the way, either drawing on your specific areas of expertise, or on your experience working on projects like these (e.g. figuring out how to pay for their project, who needs to be involved, how to learn from the people they are trying to help, etc.)
What this will look like in practice is that you will drop in on various teams (usually for about 15-30min) and help them wherever they are then move on to another team. We will have a team of organizers who will help to match-make/quarterback/concierge this process.
ALSO, there’s an opportunity to come serve as a “judge” on Sunday (Mar 3). In that case, you’d be sitting on a panel with other mentors evaluating the teams’ presentations of their projects and giving them feedback in real time.

We are flexible with your schedule, be here when you can! We have specific shifts starting Friday evening at 7pm, Saturday all day, and judging that will take place Sunday.

Absolutely, you have the option to be a virtual mentor! If you would like to be present in person and require travel accommodations please contact Meghan Smith (smith480@gmail.com)

Students will be aware of the mentors that are attending, often you may be sought out based on your specific knowledge/area of expertise to help consult teams. It is also common for mentors to go from team to team, you never know how your industry/life experience might be exactly what they need to hear!
