WHAT IS SOCIAL INNOVATION WEEKEND?

Social Innovation Weekend (SIW) is an intense three-day experience in which students, professionals and community members use entrepreneurial skills to tackle a significant social challenge.

WE NEED YOU!

Social Innovation Weekend is only made possible by business professionals and industry experts that serve as mentors and judges to help our teams tackle entrepreneurial solutions to pressing social challenges.

Social Innovation Weekend is a hackathon style program for Miami University participants. Mentors will consult with small startup teams to provide expert insights and feedback as they and develop new programs / services / products that address homelessness and affordable housing.  Student teams will go all-in for 48 hours straight and pitch their ideas to a panel of subject matter experts and Startup Cincy ecosystem partners at the end of the weekend.
